HEALTH AND WELLBEING.
Sculpted by Space.
As humans we are impressionable, mallable, sculpted by our surroundings. The enviroments in which we live can influence us, shaping our wellbeing. The human environment is a rich confluence of our cultures, relationships, our financial status and the natural and built spaces in which we live, that can narrates how we live. They foster our understanding of the world and our place in it, in them we can find belonging, connection, fulfillment, joy. Equally we can impact on the spaces around us, we are in a constant reciprocal relationship.
So often we seek to divide and separate in human understandings, yet when we can see wholeness, ourselves and our enviroments, is when we discover healing. “ Health or illness maybe dictated by the relationship with have with the world” writes Gabor Mate. The enviroments we inhabit sometimes may not be chosen- yet they can be created.
