The Art of Feeling.
Emotions punctuate our lives enriching and contextualising our experiences. Originating part in the body and part in the mind, our feelings serve a vital integrating function- an interface between head and heart. “Emotions are our essential guides, a view of human nature that ignores that powers of emotions is sadly shortsighted” writes Daniel Goleman in his book Emotional Intelligence, why it matters more than IQ ( Goleman 1996), that details the influence our emotional landscape weaves within our lives. Learning how to feel is an art that can enhance our everyday. It begins with recognising and allowing. What we feel, where we feel, how we feel?
