MOTHERING AND CAREGIVING.

For All That Remains Unfinished.

The undrunken cups of tea would mount around the house, the beds unmade, clothes, nappies, strewn upon the floor. No job would feel completed. Caregiving having a unique ability to cast light upon deeper aspects of living that can so easily be obscured until something upsurps us. To bring a sharp focus to the fact that we are “full of loose endings,” as psychologist Carl Rogers writes, un tied and un neat, yet consolingly he continues that “there is an order amoungst the chaos”. Amid the loose ends, the non resolutions and the lack of completions there is a humbling. A reminder that life is fluid and unfolding.
